What is the "rule of law"?

The "rule of law" is fundamentally rooted in the principle that all individuals and institutions, regardless of power or status, are subject to and accountable under the law. This concept ensures that laws are applied consistently and fairly, protecting citizens from arbitrary governance and abuse of power.
